Consumables Contribution

At Kendal Nursery School we are proud of the wide variety of experiences we offer children every day. Many of these special extras are not covered by the Nursery School budget, so we kindly ask for a contribution of £20 per term (£60 per year) to help us provide them.

This contribution allows us to offer:

Fresh fruit each day, plus toast at Breakfast and After School Club.
Ingredients for baking and cooking activities. We do sooo much baking!!!
Treats around the fire such as marshmallows, hot chocolate, popcorn, and soup.
Materials for sensory play like playdough, shaving foam, porridge oats, herbs, clay, tea leaves, rice, and cornflour slime.
Wood and firelighters for outdoor fires.
Supplies for seasonal and religious celebrations.
Birthday presents for the children from our special “Birthday Basket” and a gift from Father Christmas.
Vist from a Magician at Christmas and the ice cream ven in summer.

We shop weekly for fresh and perishable items and also order in bulk where possible to keep costs down.

We greatly appreciate your support — without these contributions we would not be able to provide such a rich and exciting range of experiences for the children. If paying this fee is difficult for your family, please speak to your child’s key worker in confidence; we can provide an alternative shopping list of items to contribute instead.
